Perc Up! 2005 Featured Clinician Rob Sullens
Rob Sullens is currently the
Percussion Director for Lexington High School, the
Assistant Percussion Director for Fort Mill High
School and is also the Front Ensemble Technician
for the Epiphany Indoor Percussion Ensemble based
out of Myrtle Beach South
Carolina.
The Fort Mill Percussion Ensemble was recently
titled the World Champions of the Percussion
Scholastic Concert World Class at the Winter Guard
International World Championships in Dayton,
Ohio.
This was Fort Mill’s second World
Championship.
Rob has recently finished his Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina in December. While he was there he was the Director of Percussion for the USC Marching Band and was also in charge of the organization for both the USC summer concert and marching percussion clinics and was also the principal percussionist for the USC Symphonic Band and Orchestra. Before moving to South Carolina Rob was the Director of Percussion for the BOA Grand National Finalist Tarpon Springs High School. Tarpon Springs High School has won numerous BOA regional titles along with beginning a Grand National Finalist every year they have attended Grand Nationals including being the AA National Champion in 2000 and 2001. While Rob was teaching at Tarpon he earned an endorsement with Innovative Percussion Inc. for his percussive excellence and achievements. Rob was also a member of the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps in 1995 and 1996 and a member of the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps in 1997 and 1998. Rob is a 1998 Individual and Ensemble Competition Winner, placing in the top 25 in the world!
