Perc Up! Featured Clinician Jeff Queen

About Jeff Queen

     Jeff Queen has marched in the snare lines of the Canton Bluecoats, Velvet Knights, Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Knights, and the University of North Texas. He served as section leader for the Velvet Knights, Blue Knights and the University of North Texas. Jeff was the Drum Corps InternationalIndividual and Ensemble Snare Drum Champion in 1994 and 1995 as well as the Percussive Arts Society Individual Snare Drum Champion in 1994 and 1995.

Jeff has been the snare tech for the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from 1998 to 2002, and has been appointed Caption Head for the Percussion Section. He has also worked with the Blue Knights and The University of North Texas. 

     Jeff has toured with the Tony and Emmy award winning Broadway Show "BLAST ” where he has been original cast member, solo performer and battery instructor since 1999. Jeff has performed on stages across the country and in Europe, including Broadway and London. In addition Jeff has appeared on numerous Television shows including: The Late Show with David Letterman, The Kennedy Center Honors 2000, NBA All-Star Game 2001, BLAST and The Making of Blast on PBS DVD and Video.

     Jeff is an active judge, clinician, performer, and teacher across the country and is endorsed by Evans Drumheads, Pearl Drums, Heavy Hitter Practice Pads, and Vic Firth sticks and mallets.

 
    Jeff Queen has been an enduring part of Perc Up and an avid supporter of music education.
