Perc Up! 2005 Featured Clinician Jeff Queen

Perc Up 2004! About Jeff Queen

     Jeff Queen will return as featured percussion clinician and performer at Eastside High Scool's Drumline's Perc Up! 2005 on April 23.

     Jeff Queen has marched in the snare lines of the Canton Bluecoats, Velvet Knights, Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Knights, and the University of North Texas. He served as section leader for the Velvet Knights, Blue Knights and the University of North Texas. Jeff was the Drum Corps International Individual and Ensemble Snare Drum Champion in 1994 and 1995 as well as the Percussive Arts Society Individual Snare Drum Champion in 1994 and 1995.

 

 

      

     Jeff has been the snare tech for the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from 1998 to 2002, and has been appointed Caption Head for the Percussion Section. He has also worked with the Blue Knights and The University of North Texas. 

     Jeff has toured with the Tony and Emmy award winning Broadway Show “BLAST” where he has been original cast member, solo performer and battery instructor since 1999. Jeff has performed on stages across the country and in Europe, including Broadway and London. In addition Jeff has appeared on numerous Television shows including: The Late Show with David Letterman, The Kennedy Center Honors 2000, NBA All-Star Game 2001, BLAST and The Making of Blast on PBS DVD and Video.

     Jeff is an active judge, clinician, performer, and teacher across the country and is endorsed by Evans Drumheads, Pearl Drums, Heavy Hitter Practice Pads, and Vic Firth sticks and mallets.

 Jeff Queen will be at Perc Up! 2004 in Greenville, South Carolina April 24! He will be a guest percussion clinician and performer at Eastside High School.

Percussionist Jeff Queen is the winner of multiple DCI and PAS Individual Percussion Awards and a former original cast member and soloist of the Tony and Emmy award winning hit Broadway smash Blast!
