        About Sandra Williford

            and Centerview Elementary Trash Can Stomp Band.

     Sandra S. Williford, earned a BA in Music Performance from Charleston Southern University in 1995, a BME (Bachelors in Music Education) from Anderson University in 1998 and a M.Ed. from Southern Wesleyan University in 2003.  She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Leadership in Educational Administration from Capella University (Capella Scholarship Recipient).       

     Sandra is married to William L. Williford for thirteen years and has an 11 year old daughter named Paris Monet and a six year old son named A’Lonzo Nygel.  

     Ms. Williford is currently in her tenth year of teaching, teaching two years in Greenville, SC at Parker and Hughes Academy. She has been employed with Anderson School District Five for the last eight years.  

     Sandra taught for seven years at Varennes Elementary where she was 2007-2008 Teacher of the Year and a District Teacher of the Year Finalist.  She is currently employed at Nevitt Forrest Elementary as the Gifted and Talented Instructor.  Sandra also leads a Performance Choir, “Nevitt Notes” and Step Team, “Stepping Eagles” at Nevitt Forrest Elementary.  She works at Centerville Elementary as a Music Specialist.  

     Sandra Williford began the “Trash Can Band” at Centerville in August of 2008.  Group consists of forty 3rd and 4th grade students.
