Perc Up 2005 at Eastside High School
Perc Up 2005, a unique percussion and drumming event, was hosted last April by the Eastside High School Bands, in Taylors, South Carolina. Tony and Emmy Award winning drummers / artists in The Upstate!
Percussion clinics, coaching, and concerts were given by world class champions like Jeff Queen (Carolina Crown, DCI and PAS four-time world champion, Blast!), Rob Sullens (University of South Carolina, Epiphany, Tampa Bay Thunder Drum & Bugle Corps), Thom Hannum (Blast!, DCI World Champion Cadets of Bergen County, and World Champions Star of Indiana), Steve Bell
(Cavaliers Member, Phantom Regiment Instructor, Degree from University
of North Texas)! There will be some surprise guests as well!
The Percussion Showcase
featured world class percussion solos, drum solos, concerts and
ensembles. Come see some of the best drummers in the world! The 7
pm performance was open to the public.
Perc Up gave thousands of dollars worth of freebies to students -
things like t-shirts, hats, drum sticks, mallets, percussion books,
cds, stick bags, and more! This was made possible by our generous sponsors! Perc Up plans on giving more cool stuff this year, too.
A special thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and clinicians for a superb event!!!
